Hardcore MMA fans know a fighter’s toughest battle often takes place well before they ever enter the cage. Now a pair of enterprising filmmakers want to bring that fact front and center in a very unique way. Cole Winokur and Nicolas M. Sato are set to begin production later this year on a “sports horror film” entitled “Spirit,” which they say “highlights the extreme danger of weight cutting through a sports horror format.” “Through this film, we hope to raise awareness of this critical issue in support of those that deserve it most – the fighters,” Winokur stated
