As the UFC prepares for its biggest event to date in Brazil, UFC 198: Werdum vs. Miocic , the promotion’s matchmakers are working overtime to try and line up a fight for perhaps the best Brazilian fighter ever, Anderson Silva . Silva has long been a target for UFC 198, as the Ultimate Fighting Championship attempts to fill Arena da Baixada, a nearly 40,000-seat soccer stadium in Curitiba, Brazil. The card already features heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum , a countryman of Silva’s, putting his belt on the line against Stipe Miocic , as well as a blockbuster middleweight showdown between Brazilians Vitor Belfort and Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza . According to  Globo.com , the UFC is targeting Gegard Mousasi and Tim Kennedy as likely possibilities for Silva.
