Nick Diaz As it turns out, Nick Diaz won’t go in front of the Nevada State Athletic Commission during the commission’s Thursday meeting in Las Vegas. After the NSAC this past week confirmed Diaz (26-10 MMA, 7-7 UFC) and ex-middleweight champ Anderson Silva (34-6 MMA, 17-2 UFC), Diaz’s rep said his attorney has a conflict that day and can’t attend. Asked when Diaz’s hearing will take place, manager Lloyd Pierson wrote via text, “I am not sure.” Middlebrook was not reachable for comment, and the NSAC didn’t immediately respond to an email requesting confirmation. Diaz faces a formal suspension and fines for his third alleged marijuana infraction.
