Set to defend his welterweight belt for the first time on Dec. 31 when he meets fellow veteran Jake Shields (31-8-1), Fitch (28-7-1) said his “hand was kind of forced” after WSOF 34 was moved  from its original date on Nov. 12 to merge with the Dec. 31 date. “Financially, I just couldn’t swing it,” Fitch told MMAjunkie Radio
