Filed under: News , UFC , Videos Is Jon Jones a dirty fighter? After the UFC light-heavyweight champion’s latest title defense, “Inside MMA” host Bas Rutten said it’s an unfortunate fact. On Friday’s edition of AXS TV’s weekly MMA news show, Rutten, a former UFC champion and early MMA great, suggested Jones (20-1 MMA, 14-1 UFC) got a little dirty with his game plan against Glover Teixeira (22-3 MMA, 5-1 UFC) at UFC 172. “He’s a very calm, relaxed, methodical fighter, and because he is that, I have to say – I’m sorry I have to say – yes, that is a dirty fighter,” said Rutten, a veteran broadcaster who closed out his own fighting career with a 28-4-1 record in 2006. “Maybe when he was looking down and then pushing the fingers in the eye, maybe that happened.
