HONOLULU – Javy Ayala has a lot of respect for heavyweight veteran Frank Mir , who’s been an idol of his from the get-go. But that isn’t stopping Ayala (11-7 MMA, 6-4 BMMA) from relishing the rare submission via strikes that he earned over Mir (18-13 MMA, 0-2 BMMA) at Bellator’s “Salute the Troops” event on Friday. “That’s probably one of the best feelings,” Ayala told reporters, including MMAjunkie, backstage at Neal S. Blaisdell Center in Honolulu.
