UNCASVILLE, Conn. – MMA Junkie was on scene and reporting live from Thursday’s early and official Bellator 231 fighter weigh-ins, where all fighters made weight – except one, who still has to step on the scale. In the main event, former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir (18-13 MMA, 0-2 BMMA) meets Roy Nelson (23-17 MMA, 1-3 BMMA) in a rematch from their first fight in 2011, which Mir won by unanimous decision. Mir weighed in at 265.75 pounds, a quarter-pound less than the heavyweight limit. But Nelson was delayed getting to the scale. According to commission head Mike Mazzulli, Nelson was at a commission-required doctor appointment for his pre-fight medicals.
