The second half of Bellator’s weekend doubleheader took place Saturday with Bellator 232, which went down at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., with a main card that streamed on DAZN following prelims on MMA Junkie. Douglas Lima (32-7 MMA, 14-3 BMMA) achieved the greatest moment of his career in the main event. Not only did he avenge a key loss on his resume to Rory MacDonald (21-6-1 MMA, 3-2-1 BMMA) by unanimous decisio n, but he also reclaimed Bellator welterweight gold, won the 170-pound grand prix and got a $1 million prize. It was a historic night for Lima, but he wasn’t the only one to accomplish something meaningful.
