Gegard Mousasi returned to championship form on Thursday when he defeated Douglas Lima in the Bellator 250 main event. Mousasi (47-7-2 MMA, 5-1 BMMA) claimed the vacant middleweight strap with a unanimous decision victory over Lima (32-8 MMA, 14-4 BMMA), who is the current welterweight titleholder, in the headlining contest at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. The fight was a methodical chess match over the course of five rounds. It didn’t necessarily live up to the pre-fight hype, but two elite athletes went at it for 25 minutes, and Mousasi came out of the victor
