The final Bellator event of the month went down on Friday with Bellator 259 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. The event aired on Showtime. In the main event, Cris Cyborg (24-2 MMA, 3-0 BMMA) successfully defended her women’s featherweight title for the second time when she stopped Leslie Smith (12-9-1 MMA, 2-3 BMMA) by fifth-round TKO in a rematch of a bout from May 2016.
