Bellator crowned its first interim heavyweight champion on Friday at Bellator 261 , which took place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. The honor went to Valentin Moldavsky (11-1 MMA, 6-0 BMMA), who claimed the title with a unanimous decision win over Tim Johnson (15-7 MMA, 3-3 BMMA) in the main event to set up a unification date with Ryan Bader at an undetermined date.
