The sole event on Bellator’s September schedule went down Saturday with Bellator 266 at SAP Center in San Jose, Calif. A highly anticipated light heavyweight main event topped the card. It wasn’t the thriller some were hoping for, but Phil Davis (23-6 MMA, 10-3 BMMA) put on a dominant display against Yoel Romero (13-6 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) to win a split decision and put his trajectory back on the path to Bellator gold.
