So far in his Bellator bantamweight title reign, Eduardo Dantas has not had an easy go of things. Multiple times Dantas has faced injury problems, including before his most recent bout, a title defense win over Anthony Leone (who was replacing an injured Rafael Silva ) in March. “I’ve had some tough injuries before the fight, but the day of the fight I felt great,” said Dantas of his win over Leone. “I felt I did well in the fight. I blew him up in the first round and then finished him in the second round.” Physical problems aside, Dantas has not taken his title reign lightly, as he knows fighters are gunning for him, which makes him want to be an even better fighter than he was before he claimed the title in 2012. “I’m training every day more and more because I know have someone looking and me and training to fight me one day,” said Dantas.
