Goiti Yamauchi When Bellator featherweight champion Patricio Freire recently told MMAjunkie the promotion needed to track down some new competition worthy of challenging him, one fighter in particular took notice. Goiti Yamauchi (19-2 MMA, 5-1 BMMA) is coming off his third straight win, and second straight submission, a little more than a week ago. At 5-1 under the Bellator banner, Yamauchi thinks he’s just the type of fighter who should be going after Freire’s 145-pound belt . First, though, “Pitbull” Freire (24-2 MMA, 12-2 BMMA) has to get past former titleholder Daniel Straus (24-6 MMA, 10-3 BMMA) for a third time. The two headline Bellator 145 on Friday at Scottrade Center in St. Louis with a main card on Spike after prelims on MMAjunkie.
