I think that you’re robbing yourself of your future of money and earnings.” Mitrione blasted the UFC’s long-term partnership with Reebok, claiming the promotion “took our money away from us without our blessings, and without any kind of compensation about it whatsoever.” To be fair, the UFC does compensate its contractees under the apparel deal based on how many fights they have in the octagon. But to Mitrione, the deal was “a shame and a travesty” that also exposed fighters’ collective short-sightedness in negotiations for pay.
