Ben Rothwell is now a BKFC fighter, but that doesn’t necessarily means he won’t have MMA plans again in the future. Rothwell, 40, asked for a release from his UFC contract in March and opted to sign with BKFC after he says he received the best offer from the bare-knuckle promotion. Rothwell’s UFC tenure lasted for 17 fights over the span of 13 years and while he’s happy to embark on this new chapter, he has a ‘never say never’ attitude when it comes to potentially re-entering the cage. “I’ll just use Chase Sherman as an example. He left the UFC, did some bare-knuckle fights, (went) back to the UFC, and then the UFC let him go, and then he was back in the UFC within a week,” Rothwell told MMA Junkie Radio
