Jorge Masvidal After being rumored as the new main event for UFC Fight Night 79, Benson Henderson vs. Jorge Masvidal is now official. Henderson (22-5 MMA, 10-3 UFC) was left without an opponent after planned welterweight main event dance partner Thiago Alves (21-10 MMA, 13-7 UFC) suffered a rib injury that forced him to withdraw from the card. Masvidal (29-9 MMA, 6-2 UFC) was slated to face Dong Hyun Kim (20-3-1 MMA, 11-3 UFC) in the co-main event, also at 170 pounds. It’s not clear if Kim will remain on the card, which takes place Nov.
