It’s been nearly a year since Bellator lightweight Brandon “Cold Roll” Girtz last stepped into the cage, and for good reason. Since his win over Benny Madrid in September of last year, Girtz has been sidelined due to injury. “I hurt my knee that fight, so I’ve been rehabbing pretty much the whole time,” Girtz told MMAWeekly.com. “I’ve been training and working out some of the holes in my game, and over time I’ve been able to perfect that and do some things differently.” Having begun to train at the Grudge Training Center on a fulltime basis, Girtz feels like his game has changed not only in the physical aspect, but mentally as well. “I definitely think it will be noticeable,” said Girtz.
