On Tuesday’s episode of “The Fighter and The Kid,” former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub shared a harrowing story of how he rescued three kids from a horrific car wreck last week in the Los Angeles area. According to ABC 7 , a mother of four was killed on the freeway in Encino after a wrong-way crash that allegedly was intentionally caused by the victim’s husband, who drove a Lincoln SUV into oncoming traffic before crashing into a tractor trailer while the couple’s four children, all under age 9, were in the vehicle. The children suffered only minor injuries. The mother, identified as 26-year-old Aimee Garcia, died in the wreckage. The husband, 31-year-old Cesar Iban Torres, allegedly tried to flee the scene, but he was arrested on the freeway after California Highway Patrol said he fought with officers. Schaub said he was driving out to dinner with his girlfriend when they saw the wrecked vehicle ahead of them, with one of the kids sitting on top of the SUV waving for help.
