UNCASVILLE, Conn. – After four and a half years away from the sport, Brennan Ward ’s return in February was a successful one. Ward took out Brandon Bell with a TKO 32 seconds into the second round at Bellator 274 for his first win since November 2016. Friday, Ward (15-6 MMA, 10-6 BMMA) takes on Kassius Kayne (12-7 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) at Bellator 282 and hopes to pick right back up where he left off a few months ago – after getting a long-term contract from Bellator. “It feels good to be back,” Ward told MMA Junkie at Wednesday’s media day. “It only felt right if I was going to sign a contract to be with Bellator.
