Less than three weeks after pulling off an upset in his UFC debut, Brian Melancon knows when he’ll be going back to work. Melancon (7-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) will step in for the injured Paulo Thiago (15-5 MMA, 5-5 UFC) to meet Kevin Gastelum (6-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) in a welterweight bout at UFC Fight Night 27 next month. The news comes from Tuesday night’s edition of FUEL TV’s “UFC Tonight.” UFC Fight Night 27 (formerly UFC on FOX Sports 1 2) takes place Aug. 28 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The main card airs on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on FOX Sports 2 and Facebook.
