Former UFC champion Cain Velasquez was granted permission by the courts to attend Bellator 300 in San Diego, CA in order to help corner Bellator lightweight champion Usman Nurmagomedov for his fight against Brent Primus on Saturday.  “He is scheduled to corner,” California State Athletic Commission executive director Andy Foster told MMA Fighting . “We are in possession of a court order permitting him to do so.” Velasquez is set to go on trial for premeditated, attempted murder in January.
