Francis Carmont Bellator will protect its interests for its first one-night tournament event on Sept. 19 when Francis Carmont and Philipe Lins compete in a light heavyweight alternate bout. The winner of Carmont (23-10 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) and Lins (9-1 MMA, 2-1 BMMA) will be the first candidate to step into the tournament should one of the four scheduled members – Muhammed Lawal, Phil Davis, Emmanuel Newton and Linton Vassell – be deemed unable or unfit to move forward. Bellator President Scott Coker revealed the matchup to MMAjunkie. “Bellator 142: Dynamite” takes place at San Jose’s SAP Center and will feature a mix of MMA and kickboxing matches
