Chael Sonnen thinks Colby Covington deserves another UFC title shot – whether it’s at welterweight or middleweight. Covington cemented his No. 1 welterweight ranking by dominating rival Jorge Masvidal at UFC 272, but with champion Kamaru Usman already holding two recent wins over him, it could be a while before Covington gets a third crack. Sonnen, who has served as a mentor for Covington (17-3 MMA, 12-3 UFC) over the years, said Covington’s win over Masvidal should amount to something meaningful. “I’m so proud of that guy,” Sonnen said in an interview with Helen Yee
