Chris Weidman When Chris Weidman  and Vitor Belfort  step into the cage for UFC 187’s main event, it’ll be a moment that seemed as though it would never happen. Weidman (12-0 MMA, 8-0 UFC) and Belfort (24-10 MMA, 13-6 UFC) were originally slated to fight at UFC 173 in May 2014. In the year since, the bout was moved to UFC 181 and then to UFC 184 after injuries Weidman sustained. On Wednesday’s teleconference for next week’s UFC 187 event in Las Vegas, headliner Weidman said he’s recovered and ready to face Belfort.
