LOUIS – If you read any MMA site in the buildup to Friday’s Bellator 138 event, you knew featherweight champion Patricio Freire  was unhappy. The way he saw it then, making his bout subordinate to Ken Shamrock vs. Kimbo Slice on the event’s Spike TV main card was something of a slap to the face . But now, after a meeting with Bellator President Scott Coker, Freire (24-2 MMA, 12-2 BMMA), who wowed the crowd in the co-main event with a spectacular comeback win over challenger Daniel Weichel (35-9 MMA, 4-1 BMMA), said he’s got a new appreciation for what the promotion was trying to do in booking a main event aimed more toward entertainment and shock value than athleticism and competition
