(This story appears in today’s edition of USA TODAY .) There came a point in his first fight with then-UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva  that Chris Weidman  had an epiphany. It happened early in their main event bout at UFC 162 in July. Silva had launched into a routine best described as playful mockery. He waved Weidman in. He rolled his eyes at the challenger’s attacks.
