Filed under: Featured Videos , News , UFC , Videos No one knows what to expect from Phil “ CM Punk ” in his MMA and UFC debut later this year. And, quite frankly, he wouldn’t want it any other way. Punk’s (0-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) first pro fight came a step closer to reality this past weekend when Mickey Gall (2-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) defeated Mike Jackson (0-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) via 45-second submission at UFC Fight Night 82. Gall was discovered through Dana White’s “Lookin’ for a Fight” Web series and was positioned as the fighter who would meet Punk if he won his promotional debut. All Gall had to do was defeat Jackson, which he did in impressive fashion to move to 2-0. Punk was cageside at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena to take in the victory, and immediately afterward, he got in the octagon for a face-to-face staredown with his next opponent (via Twitter ): After a spectacular performance by @MickeyGall , @CMPunk now has an opponent! #UFCVegas https://t.co/sU1gct1OIo — UFC (@ufc) February 7, 2016 The Punk-Gall encounter was friendly and lighthearted.
