Cris Cyborg Makes Weight for First UFC Headlining Bout

After days of worrying, Cris “Cyborg” Justino stepped on the scale Friday morning in Brasilia, Brazil, to make her UFC Fight Night 95 headlining bout with Lina Lansberg official. Earlier this week on Monday, Cyborg still had 25 pounds to cut in order to make weight. According to middleweight champ Michael Bisping, Cyborg was running 10 miles a day , in addition to her fight workouts, in order to drop the weight. Cyborg also reportedly employed birth control pills to help her make weight . The various techniques she utilized were effective, as Cyborg stepped on the scale and hit the 141-pound mark, which was within the one-pound tolerance allowed for her 140-pound catchweight bout. Her opponent, Lina Lansberg, weighed 140 pounds. One fighter failed to make weight, that being Michel Prazeres.
