UFC president Dana White agrees with Donald Cerrone ’s decision to hang up the gloves and move on from MMA competition. Cerrone (36-17 MMA, 23-14 UFC), one of the most notable fighters in UFC history who holds a plethora of records, announced his retirement from the sport earlier this month following a submission loss to Jim Miller at UFC 276. The result extended Cerrone’s winless skid to seven consecutive fights, and at 39, “Cowboy” admitted he no longer has the love and determination to step in the octagon and give it his all. White was not in attendance at UFC 276 when Cerrone made his announcement, and following UFC on ABC 3 on Saturday, he spoke about the news for the first time publicly. “I think it was time,” White told MMA Junkie and other reporters at the post-fight news conference.
