If UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo is victorious later this month at UFC 179, Conor McGregor could be up next to challenge the Brazilian for his belt. That’s according to UFC President Dana White in a recent UFC.com interview. Aldo (24-1 MMA, 6-0 UFC), who’s ranked No. 1 in the USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA featherweight rankings , rematches No. 2 Chad Mendes (16-1 MMA, 7-1 UFC) on Oct. 25 at Rio de Janeiro’s Maracanazinho Gymnasium.
