LAS VEGAS – If Jon Jones calls, the UFC can get him the Francis Ngannou matchup. It’s just a matter of Jones reaching out, according to UFC president Dana White. Moments after Ngannou (16-3 MMA, 11-2 UFC) claimed heavyweight gold with a violent second-round knockout of Stipe Miocic at UFC 260, Jones lobbied for a matchup against the newly crowned champion on Twitter. At the UFC 260 post-fight news conference, White questioned Jones’ tweets, especially a one-liner that simply read, “Show me the money.” “If I’m Jon Jones and I’m home watching this fight, I start moving to 185,” White told MMA Junkie. “… Sure. Listen, I could sit here all day and (ask) you, ‘What’s “Show me the money” mean?’ I tell you guys this all the time: You can say you want to fight somebody, but do you really want to?” Jones and the UFC were at odds last May when he approached the promotion for a potential fight with Ngannou
