McGregor (18-2 MMA, 6-0 UFC) made good on his promises that he would take home UFC gold at the event, stopping Chad Mendes (17-3 MMA, 8-3 UFC) in the second round  of the July 11 pay-per-view headliner to win an interim featherweight belt. Still, questions remain as to the extent of the injury to Aldo’s (25-1 MMA, 7-0 UFC) ribs and what will happen when he and McGregor finally get to mix it up for their grudge match. MMAjunkie caught up with several UFC fighters ahead of this past weekend’s UFC Fight Night 72 event to ask their thoughts on Aldo’s decision to not fight through the injury. UFC Fight Night 72 main-event winner Michael Bisping was one of the men who shared his thoughts on the situation, and he referenced his own troubles with a rib injury prior to UFC 186
