LAS VEGAS – Diego Ferreira is anticipating a grapple-heavy approach from Gregor Gillespie , but he’s prepared for it. Ferreira (17-3 MMA, 8-3 UFC) faces standout wrestler Gillespie (13-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) at Saturday’s UFC on ESPN 24 event, where both men will look to rebound from losses which snapped impressive winning streaks. It’s a key matchup in the division, with Gillespie currently No. 12 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie lightweight rankings , and Ferreira No. 15. In his past outing in February, Ferreira lost a back-and-forth “Fight of the Night” decision to fellow surging contender Beneil Dariush, who was able to take him down multiple times
