Augusto “Dodger” Montano failed his UFC 188: Velasquez vs. Werdum post-fight drug test and has subsequently been suspended. Montano not only dropped a unanimous decision to Cathal Pendred at UFC 188, he also tested positive for “exogenous origin of testosterone metabolites,” which means some outside source influenced his testosterone level. As a result of the failed drug test, Montano was handed a one-year suspension. Montano’s positive drug test follows that of Gilbert Melendez stemming from the same event.
