City Kickboxing head coach Eugene Bareman thinks the UFC is purposely trying to fast track Alex Pereira . Pereira (6-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) cemented himself as the No. 1 contender for a shot at UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya after knocking out Sean Strickland in the first round this past Saturday at UFC 276. The win marked Pereira’s third in the octagon, but because he holds two wins over Adesanya (23-1 MMA, 12-1 UFC)  in kickboxing , the former two-division Glory champion is already getting a shot at gold.
