A light heavyweight contest between Brazilian slugger Fabio Maldonado (21-7 MMA, 4-4 UFC) and Dutch prospect Hans Stringer (22-5-3 MMA, 1-0 UFC) is the latest addition to UFC 179. UFC officials today announced the new pairing. An official bout order for UFC 179 has yet to be revealed, but the card features UFC featherweight champ Jose Aldo in a rematch with top challenger Chad Mendes. The event takes place Oct. 25 at Rio de Janeiro’s Maracanazinho Gymnasium.
