Filed under: Featured Videos , News , UFC , Videos This past Saturday’s stacked UFC 187 card featured a pair of title fights at the top of the bill, and a new champion was crowned. Daniel Cormier  (15-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) submitted Anthony Johnson (19-4 MMA, 10-4 UFC) in the third round to win the light heavyweight title that was vacated by suspended former champ Jon Jones. And middleweight champion Chris Weidman  (13-0 MMA, 9-0 UFC) stopped Vitor Belfort (24-11 MMA, 13-7 UFC) with punishing ground-and-pound in the first round. Both Cormier and Weidman had to work through some early adversity, though. Each was caught by their opponents and appeared to be in trouble before pushing through and going on to what wound up being fairly dominant performances after the speed bumps out of the gate.
