Georges St-Pierre MONTREAL – The hometown Montreal Canadiens couldn’t close out their first-round series against Ottawa in the Stanley Cup playoffs on Wednesday night – which paved the way for a location for Friday’s UFC 186 weigh-ins. Because Game 5 moves back to Montreal on Friday from Ottawa, where the Senators beat the Canadiens 1-0 in Game 4 on Wednesday, the Bell Centre isn’t an option for the UFC 186 fighters to step on the scale. UFC 186 takes place Saturday at that venue and airs on pay-per-view, FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass. Today, the UFC announced the weigh-in proceedings will take place at Metropolis, 59 Rue Sainte-Catherine East in Montreal. Metropolis is an historic concert venue built more than 130 years ago. The theater has played host to the likes of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame members David Bowie and Green Day, as well as Beck, the White Stripes and Coldplay.
