That’s what happened this week as the massive Grigory Chistyakov fought Aleksandra Stepakova in a ridiculously absurd matchup that went to a decision, with the judges awarding Chistyakov the win. In November 2020, he fought bantamweight Darina Madzyuk, who TKO’d the behemoth and parlayed that appearance into a Bellator contract . If a fight like this never gets made again, MMA would be better for it.
