More than 12 years after their second fight, Trigg (21-9 MMA, 2-5 UFC) says he and Hughes (45-9 MMA, 18-7 UFC), while casual friends, still have a lot they still don’t see eye-to-eye on. But seeing that the man who beat him twice in the octagon survived the battle of a lifetime following a scary accident, Trigg has nothing but awe and admiration for Hughes. “I am so happy that he made it through,” Trigg told MMAjunkie Radio.
