If former UFC lightweight champion turned featherweight contender Frankie Edgar doesn’t get a fight in December, it won’t be for a lack of trying. He feels he’s been passed over for a title shot for the better part of a year, and he’s ready and willing to step in if either Jose Aldo or Conor McGregor backs out of their UFC 194 headlining bout, as he seems to think one of them will, but he won’t sit idly by and wait for that to happen. RELATED > Frankie Edgar Not Happy with UFC 189 Snub Edgar was already passed over once as a last-minute replacement for Aldo when he dropped out of the fight with McGregor at UFC 189 due to a rib injury, and there seems to be plenty of fighters that want to fight him, so Edgar went on the offensive on Monday, saying he wants to fight on Dec. 11, which happens to be The Ultimate Fighter 22 season finale. The event takes place the night prior to UFC 194, and both are being held in Las Vegas
