Filed under: News , UFC , Videos Ten years ago, Rumble in the Cage fans got an early look at two future UFC competitors, including one who would go on to compete for the promotion’s welterweight title in one of the greatest fights ever to take place in the octagon. Now, courtesy of GoFightLive.tv , you can see that June 2006 contest between Canadian standouts Rory MacDonald and Jordan Mein . MacDonald (18-3 MMA, 9-3 UFC), of course, headlines this weekend’s UFC Fight Night 89 event, when he faces Stephen Thompson in a key welterweight matchup at The Arena at TD Place in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Meanwhile (29-10 MMA, 3-2 UFC), Mein would go on to fight five times under the UFC banner, not to mention a three-fight stint for Strikeforce.
