For Bellator lightweight Dave Jansen , coming back off of a year-and-a-half layoff was not as difficult as it may seem. As he told MMAWeekly.com, Jansen approached his fight last October with Rick Hawn like it was any other fight. “He was an extremely tough guy,” Jansen said of Hawn. “I know people talk about ring rust, but I don’t believe in it because a fighter is always a fighter, so I was never more ready for a fight than I was that one.” A unanimous decision win over Hawn rose Jansen’s winning streak to seven, to which he credits his ability to be as hard to game plan for as possible. “I think it’s important to be unpredictable and be ready for anything,” said Jansen
