Undefeated heavyweight Jared Cannonier (7-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) will take a big step up in competition when he meets Shawn Jordan (16-6 MMA, 4-3 UFC) in his octagon debut at UFC 182, the promotion announced today. The matchup is the latest addition to the Jan. 3 pay-per-view event, which takes place at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena. It’s not yet clear whether the heavyweight matchup will serve on the pay-per-view main card or the preliminary card. Cannonier, an Alaska native, defeated former King of the Cage champion Tony Lopez in January to extend his unbeaten streak to nine fights, including two on the amateur circuit
