Herb Dean Veteran referee Herb Dean will oversee the UFC’s flyweight title fight next month in Las Vegas, the Nevada State Athletic Commission today confirmed. At a meeting today in Las Vegas, the commission appointed Dean to referee UFC 191’s main event between flyweight champ Demetrious Johnson (22-2-1 MMA, 10-1-1 UFC) and now two-time challenger John Dodson (17-6 MMA, 7-1 UFC). UFC 191 takes place Sept. 5 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass. In addition, the NSAC voted on the judges for the title fight.
