She picked up the win and a championship belt, but it all came with a price. Holly Holm broke her arm in Friday’s Legacy Fighting Championship 30 win in Albuquerque, N.M., the fighter revealed on Saturday. Holm wrote on Twitter that she blocked a head kick in her fight against Juliana Werner, and doing so led to a broken bone in her left arm. “Whoa! What a night?! Yes this is what happens when you LAZILY block a head kick,” the fighter wrote along with an x-ray photo. “Arm is feeling ok…Ego not so much.” Holm dominated the fight from bell to bell until the fifth round where she landed a head kick that dropped Werner, leading into strikes on the ground that ended the contest at the 1:50 mark. The win earned Holm the Legacy FC women’s bantamweight title, and improved her record to a perfect 7-0.
