MacDonald (18-3 MMA, 9-3 UFC) confirmed he suffered a broken nose and broken foot in his fifth-round TKO loss to Lawler (26-10 MMA, 11-4 UFC) in the welterweight title fight, which served as the co-main event of Saturday’s pay-per-view card in Las Vegas. The image of MacDonald in the octagon, covered in blood , was gruesome. His post-fight photo at the hospital with Lawler was further evidence of the damage sustained.
