Think about all of the great strides that have been made to make MMA such a success over the last two decades. The establishment of rules, weight classes, safety measures, and best practices have all helped take a sport viewed by many as lawless and barbaric in the early days to a fully regulated, legitimate sport. But the success of MMA as a mainstream sport also leaves the door open for less-legitimate endeavors, such as this, from Russia. The fight promotion, “Our Business,” staged an event that included an intergender fight between a 139-pound woman and a 529-pound man. Yes, really.
