LAS VEGAS – UFC president Dana White initially thought Jamahal Hill may be too young and inexperienced for the UFC after watching him compete Tuesday night. Hill (6-0) defeated Alexander Poppeck via second-round TKO at Dana White’s Contender Series 21, putting on a striking clinic with an array of body shots. It proved too much for Poppeck, who finally went down towards the end of the second round. Despite being a late bloomer in MMA, Hill believes he’s been putting in the needed work for years. White gave Hill the contract anyway, but Hill disagrees with the boss’ initial statement, as White said after watching the first round, he thought Hill might need some work.
